DSOClean 1.0
Giz (gizmo@gizmola.com)
Who:
dsoclean is a win32 application. It should run fine on any ms os v. 95 and up. If you have any problems with it please drop me a line.

Why:
Much of tribes2 is written in v12 scripting language, and the script files have the extension .cs. When you run tribes2, The v12 engine precompiles scripts into a pcode format with the extension .dso. When you run tribes2 again, if a .dso file exists, the .cs file is not reread. Theoretically, if you change the underlying .cs file, the .dso file should be recompiled, but in many circumstances, this doesn't work.
dsoclean was written to make it easy to delete all your tribes .dso files, and handles this chore for you automatically.

Use it whenever you install a new script pack, upgrade your tribes with a patch, or whenever you make a modification to your os. Running this program has no effect on Tribes2. It will recompile scripts automatically when you start it up.

Install:
Extract/ copy dsoclean.exe to your dynamix/tribes2 directory. Make a shortcut on your desktop to dsoclean.exe for easy access to it.

Instructions:
DSOClean simply searches from it's current working directory (where you put it) looking for files with the .dso extension, and removes them. It will search down any subdirectories beneath the directory in which you installed it.

It will display a list of all the files it found and deleted, along with a total on the last line. You will need to scroll the listbox if you want to see this total in most cases. Running dsoclean automatically deletes all the .dso files it found. The list is just for information purposes.
